Matt has been enjoying functional fitness since he was 13 years old. He started out of his garage because at the time he didn’t have a gym to go to in Bay City, Texas, where he grew up. Very quickly his mom realized he had zero clue as to what he was doing and he had no idea how to move safely and efficiently. So she made him drive with her 45 minutes to the nearest gym and learn how to move correctly, and that’s where it all started.
The head coach taught him about hard work and developed character in him that is visible every single day. It wasn’t long after working out at the gym that he took interest in coaching. His head coach mentored him to become the coach he always wanted to be. With his help, he successfully passed his CrossFit Level One Certificate and started training and helping people.
“I am so grateful for that opportunity to be around someone who believed in me so much. I love coaching and competing very much but they do not define me, as a person. The only thing or person that defines my purpose and worth is the one true God. He gave me a deep love and passion to coach people and train them into the person they were designed to be. My mission is to love and serve the health and fitness industry and this mission drives me everyday to become a better coach.”Book Your Intro
